I've read the threads here in windows 10 and yet to see my issue:

It is taking too long just to view my HDD's and whats in them. When I click on "This PC" explorer opens up and I can see my computer including HDDS. When I click on any HDD, folder, or directory I get this green line at the top and its just sitting there and in the window pane it states "working on it..." ten minutes later it''s still "working on it. "

This has been an issue since the update from 7 to 10 and I'm tired of it. The bad part is that I cant go back to Win7. So, I'm hoping that someone else has this issue and can help me out! The part that throws me off is that my 250GB SSD is doing it as well! I've check the SSD with the "Intel SSD toolbox" version 3.3.3.400, and it blows right through it with the optimizer... and the Diagnostic scan, and I can see my other drives within the toolbox. This happens when I click on a directory, a folder, or a file.

    Help!!!

Sorry it took so long to reply.
Thanks for replying Evan! I downloaded and installed the ShellExView program and disabled all non-microsoft programs and I still have the same issue with no change to the system. I also took a look at the link and it was pertaining to XP, 8, 8.1 and not Win10.
Did the reboot and I still get the same results! I can't access the SSD drive with "This PC" or with "file explorer. "

You might try disconnecting all extra hard drives and other peripheral devices (such as any printers) except for your main SSD where Windows is installed on and see if the same issue occurs.
