Hi retiredlearner, thanks for your reply. I now use VIPRE antivirus software on trial and as a precaution uninstalled my copy of MalwareBytes, as I am made to believe that only Malware software should be currently used. Since doing this mouse is functioning correctly. I notice that my Logistic MX runs ok without their software, but using Windows Automatic installation. Thanks Bobby.

Vipre Internet Security and Malwarebytes FREE work together without issue - I've used that combination for years together with a wireless mouse.

I cannot speak for the combination of Vipre with the paid for version of Malwarebytes which runs with constant protection which may well conflict with Vipre.

Uninstalling MBAM was a mistake. You need to put it back on and keep it updated. I have seen times where it was needed and couldn't be installed as the malware was blocking it.

PeteC, my copy of Malwarebyte is the paid up version, over two years ago. I have found it very reliable, though a few weeks ago required their help as it failed to update each day. According to Malwarebyte, my copy had become corrupted and required their excellent assistance. I will re-install Malwarebyte again and see what happens.

I have reinstalled Malwarebyte Premium, working satisfactory with no errors with computer at present. You could say, I am pleased that Malwarebyte Pre is again installed in computer, as over the last few years it has given me excellent guard against attacks. VIPRE prior to installing advises to deactivate any malware software installed but no mention it should be removed. Thanks for clarifying, Bobby.
