Resolved dm321a.exe ???

Broni,
I found a file name dm321a.exe listed under the control panel Notification Area Icons. I did a registry search and can't find it. It has an icon symbol that looks like it was from AVG antivirus. A trial of AVG might have come with the computer but the program probably was uninstalled. When I choose Show Icon and Notifications it tells me the program is not running and the notification will only appear when it does. Is this just an artifact? If so then how can I get Rid of it? ( Running Win 8.1 Pro )

The computer showed no signs of any virus or malware. I followed your tip and used the Reset Notifications batch file and it is now gone...I loaded win 8.1 Pro w/ Media center over the OEM 8.1 which came with an AVG trial that I removed prior to the upgrade. It must have been an artifact from the AVG trial as the AVG icon preceeded the dm321a.exe in the Notification Area. It looks good now (its gone).
