    :confused:Hmmm ... !

I am not sure what files you want or how I can open these files. I am afraid you will to take me by the hand and show me the way.

Here is what EventView shows me. Please take it from there.

    Thanks

Right click on My Computer..Left click on manage.. Left click on the little arrow pointing to event viewer. Left click on little arrow pointing to windows logs. Left click on applications. ON the right side of event viewer, left click on filter current log. Fill in critical and error and click on OK.. Do this also for System that is in the windows log category. Each entry you can double click on and read it for details

Even more Swahili (although I don't know why our African bretheren should get the blame) to me, but I hope this tells you something.

BTW: I tried running sxstrace.exe but it did nothing. There was something momentarily on screen but nothing I could do anything with.

Sony Media Go is a multimedia software similar to iTunes. If you don't use it then you can disable it from loading when you start the computer.

Side by Side is a Microsoft technology that enables software programs to share DLL files (Dynamic Link Libray). DLLs are small programs used by larger programs to perform certain tasks. For example, many programs may look similar in that they have the same style menus and perform similar tasks. There can be a DLL that handles menus, a DLL that handles file opening, etc. etc. Those programs can share the same Windows DLL files (DLLs that have an identical name).

Embedded in the software's main executable file is supposed to be a manifest that tells Windows the name and location of the needed DLL files. If the manifest is incorrect then that software can cause crashes in itself and other programs that use the same named DLLs.

Thus, the first thing to do here is to disable Sony Media Go software. It is loading when you start the computer. It also monitors directories that contain images, music and videos, constantly, in the background. And it also uses a Scheduled Task and installs browser plugins. Or just uninstall it if don't ever use it.
