We have 4 XP-Pro cpu's on a shared home network under a workgroup called "Workgroup ".

We just upgraded one to Win7 under a workgroup called "Homegroup" and want it to share the network also.

The Win7/Homegroup cpu can see the other 3 XP's just fine but the 3 XP's can't see the Win7. We changed one of the XP's to "Homegroup" also to see if that would help but no luck.

Can XP's and Win7 share the network?
    Any suggestions?

Yes, they can, but things will have to be setup on XP's terms. XP cannot see a Windows 7 HomeGroup.

    Quote from Arie's article...

You may also need to change the Workgroup name. The default in Windows XP is MSHOME, while in Vista/Windows 7 the default is WORKGROUP. You should change it so they all match up.
