Hi jsctolitz. Did you update the BIOS for the motherboard? Are you overclocking any components?

Lets check your system temperatures. Download and run Open Hardware Monitor. Then while the computer is idle post a screenshot of your systems temperatures using Open Hardware Monitor in your next reply.

Evan Omo., I dont know how to post an image here, but I think my temp. is fine, cpu temp. ranging 40°C - 45°C, I tried to update bios by
gigabyte Q-flash, but my system fail to boot after updating the bios, I reset the bios again, @elcajongunsfan, I'm only using x1 8gb ram, I even tried to insert it to four memory slot but it still keep freezing.

Since your motherboard includes integrated graphics, I would try connecting your monitor to the integrated video port on the motherboard and see if that helps.

Have you installed the chipset, network, audio, and video drivers for your system?

Not always. A CPU cooler improperly seated can cause such freezes, e.g. too little or too much grease, improper contact, etc. AFAIK, i5's & i7s with stock coolers are pre-greased. But it can be dried out & is always best to remove & reapply new.

assuming you are saying a heat issue, I would think there would be a BIOS dump on the screen effectively flagging the user that the system is stopping due to heat

Not necessarily. I have an i5 CPU on an Intel board. I assembled it using the stock cooler that came with the i5. It ran well but after about 8 months it started to randomly freeze or just shut off. No messages in bios logs. It took a while of t-shooting to fix. Finally reseated the cooler after removing the existing stock compound and reapplying new. No more freezes. This CPU came pre-greased.
