We have Java on 2 machines at work (XP) and when Java loads the message:
Java has discovered application components that could indicate a security concern. Contact application vendor to ensure not tampered with. Block potentially unsafe components? Yes or no?

Is this specific to a website? One machine has the latest version and the other doesn't. Sorry I didn't write down the version.

We go to this website to place orders and upload the request from our computer to theirs.

Can I turn this warning off?

If you trust the site, click No, (because if you click Yes, Java won't work).

Can you give us the link to the web site and let us check to see if we have the problem?

You are guessing that is the site the OP is referring to. You are posting something that the second poster is saying and not the first poster.

I guess the OP will return sometime and let us know.

No, I'm guessing both are seeing the same message because the OP said:
And Windows XP's Java "Security Warning" window says:
(The differences are highlighted in red).

So, if both posters trust the two different websites that are trying to load Java, the answer would be to click the [ No ] button . . . simply because clicking anything else would keep Java from running.

Only BOBBO refered to Secunia which in my opinion leaves a lot to be desired.

Sorry guys for the delay in responding. Yes I get the XP warning as in the post above by Spyware Doctor. The website I am accessing is at work and not a public website. I answer no so that Java will run. I'm just wondering how to get rid of this message when I go to this particular website.

Correct. But since Alicia hadn't posted a link I simply used BOBBO's site to test instead.

In Windows XP, close Internet Explorer, click Start > Control Panel > Switch to Classic View (if not already there) > Java > Advanced tab > then down under "Mixed code (sandbox vs. trusted) security verification ", change it from "Enable - show warning if needed" to "Enable - hide warning and run with protections" > Apply > OK, close Control Panel, then try your site in Internet Explorer again.

It's almost the same in In Windows 7: Close Internet Explorer, click Start > Control Panel > select "View by: Large (or Small) icons" > Java > Advanced tab > then down under "Mixed code (sandbox vs. trusted) security verification ", change it from "Enable - show warning if needed" to "Enable - hide warning and run with protections" > Apply > OK, close Control Panel, then try your site in Internet Explorer again.

Windows 8 is a bit different as well: Switch to the Desktop, close Internet Explorer (if open), press [WinKey]+[R], type in control and press [Enter] > select "View by: Large (or Small) icons" > Java > Advanced tab > then down under "Mixed code (sandbox vs. trusted) security verification ", change it from "Enable - show warning if needed" to "Enable - hide warning and run with protections" > Apply > OK, close Control Panel, then try your site in Internet Explorer again.

I'm back at work in 10 days so I'll try it then and get back to you. What does run with protections mean exactly?

It means it will still check for mixed trusted and untrusted code. Packages or resources that are later encountered with the same names but have different trust levels, i.e., sign vs unsigned, will not be loaded.

Some have uninstalled it and some like me just keep it updated and disabled as an add-on. If a web page needs it, you can enable it or else download it. Very few web pages need it anymore.

I'm afraid no one else at work would be able to figure out how to enable it so I'll leave it enabled.

I would disable it. Like I said, not many sites use it anymore. Can't remember when I needed it last and I do go to many, many places.

We need it enabled for the website we are accessing to work properly.
