    I never thought of looking in here :eek: and since it's a Windows 7 issue I naturally posted on that board.

    Well, updates issue or Windows 7 issue, the thread could go in either subforum but the first one ended up here and who argues with the boss ... :eek: ... ?

    After reading this post this morning, I rushed home and checked my three different machines: Professional, Ultimate, and Pro 64 bit

    The so-called bad patch was installed on the first two and I don't see any issues. And I'm guessing it does'nt affect 64 bit machines.

    FWIW, Microsoft pushed out a patch to fix the first one: KB 2840149

    Searching the net tells me, the original patch conflicted with Kaspersky. I run NOD32
