Resolved Long Running Script

    Message when trying to open AOL ISP, words to the effect that ' AOL not responding due to Long Running Script, end Scipt' click to end script, no response to trying to close,after very long time have to disconnect battery to restart.
    OS Vista, also have Gmail address.

    Got thru to AOL (ISP) they did a remote scan (Ithink) and it is now cured but I still don't know what 'long running script' is or why it froze the PC.
    I will mark this resolved, but would apreciate someone telling me what the 'long running script' is.

    "Long running script" error messages are specific to Internet Explorer. These messages are generally intended for developers who are testing and building a website.



    Sounds like there was something in that long running script that was incompatible with your particular setup.
