Not sure if this is in the right forum.
One of our over 50 computer forum members is reporting a pop up he cannot get rid of, how it got there I don't know.
It is 'Reg Clean Pro' which pops up whenever the laptop is activated, it insists on doing a scan, which although we get it to quit , it comes back later with a report that it has found over 500 problems that we need to buy the product to clean.
We have tried 'CLOSE' no effect, tried Task Manager, no good, next we tried to remove from 'Add Remove'.Eventualy we get rid of it but it comes back when the PC is activated again..
What do we do to get rid of 'anything' that does not respond to the 'remove' in the 'Add Remove' .
    OS Vista

Hi Spanner, Have you tried Revo Uninstaller? I haven't got a link to download it, but a Google should find it. Neil.

Do I need a Registry Cleaner This is a good read with opinions from a very well respected MVP and Mark Russinovich why you don't need a registry cleaner.

Revo Uninstaller should do the job for you and tell your friends not to use Registry cleaners.

    kind regards,

Hi Spanner. Adding to what was said above, using Revo Uninstaller should completely uninstall the program from the computer. In case Revo or the actual program uninstaller that Arie linked to above doesn't uninstall the program then let us know. Also you may want to check msconfig and see if it is starting up there so you can disable the program before uninstalling it.

Thanks to all responders, it worked first time with Arie's 'uninstaller'.
What is best to use for other programmes that wont uninstall.?
Will leave this open for time being.
    Thanks again.
    Spanner.
