I have just installed WLM -2011 in my new machine running Win 8. The "Sort by Date" column, the left side "Boxes" column and any text in attachments to emails, all seem light gray or faded. Much like when a printer is running out of ink. I received an invoice which was absolutely unreadable, but printed-out fine. The email displayed in the large center column however is a sharp well defined black.

Having had no experience with this program before, as I've always used O.E., I want to know if this is a fixable problem, just the general nature of WLM, or what happens when running WLM 2011 in Win 8. TIA

    Dennis

I don't know why you are having that problem. I am running WLM in 8 and have no problems what so ever.

    Mr. Bill,

When you look at this reply, is the lettering on the left hand side of the page, between "Profile:" and "My System" (such as Join Date, Location, etc.) a very light gray in color? Mine is. TIA

I wouldn't call it "very light grey ". It is grey:

    Hi Arie,

OK, I think I've got it right if your thumbnail is accurate, because that is just like mine.
While poking around Win 8, I just got it yesterday, I checked desktop resolution and found that it came set at 1040 X 768, when it should have been 1280 X 768. When I reset it and checked Live Mail, the definition was a lot better.

    Thanks,

    Dennis
