Alicia, I just checked in to see what your result was.

I use Foxit and Vista Business OS. I went into my bank a/c and displayed a page with Transaction History > bottom right of page Print this Page > opens another web page and when I put the mouse curser on the center bottom of the page > I have the choice on the left to Save PDF with another name. Next choice is to Print page, followed by ability to zoom + or -.

I did a print without any problem.
I hope this is what you wanted to do. I haven't tried the option to Save PDF.
I'll try it and report findings. Neil.

ps. It worked a treat! I just clicked on the Left Icon > Save > and PDF was saved to Documents as Transaction History.
I closed out the bank web site and opened Documents > scroll down to Transaction History and Double click > opens in Foxit where you can do your thing and Print out page.

Unless as Evan suggested that the particular bank has Security set to prevent you copying - try it and see.
Let's know how you get on. Neil.

The options for downloading the transaction history is Quicken, Microsoft Money and CSV file. I can download as CSV but it when I change it to PDF file I get the error: file corrupted or not a PDF file.

When I go with the print this page and save as PDF it opens in foxit reader with the same error message.

When I try to print bank statements I get the same error. There is no option to save as from the statement PDF link. A bank statement is actually what I want.

I can print bank statements using Firefox and Foxit reader without any problem.

What are using to convert it from a .CSV file to a .PDF file?

Hi Alicia, sorry it didn't help you. I'm off to Australia for a Holiday, so will leave you the Dr's capable hands.

When I get the request to "save active document as another name ", I only get 3 choices with Foxit.
    PDF Files (*pdf)
    TXT Files (*txt)
    All Files.

Did not have any other reason to change from PDF. Our bank in NZ must be set up differently. Cheers Neil.

Then that's why you "get the error: file corrupted or not a PDF file. " . . . because it is not really a .PDF (portable document file). It's still a .CSV (comma separated values) file inside with a .PDF file extension stuck on it.

Simply renaming a file's extension does not somehow automagically convert it from one file type to another. Just like sticking a Mercedes emblem on VW bug would not automagically convert the VW to a Mercedes. It'd just be a VW bug with a Mercedes emblem stuck on it.

If you have Microsoft Excel, you could open the .CSV file with it.

Can you recommend a tool for converting files?

I get the same error when I'm trying to open the bank statement on line. It show as being a PDF file.

The CSV file is okay for printing history but not an option for the bank statements. The bank statements are on the website as a link to a PDF.

I can open the CSV file with excel.
