I have an HP laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium. For the last week or so I cannot view video files. What would cause this? I uninstalled all java programs and adobe flash player and reinstalled them hoping that would fix the problem, but it didn't. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi Rackster. Are you talking about not being able to watch videos online? Or do you mean you can't watch videos that you download onto your computer?

What Intenet browser are you using? What happens when you attempt to watch a video?

Sorry for not being more clear Evan. I'm talking videos that are on the web...like news clips. Also on facebook in the cityville app the city doesn't load and i get error code 1000. I contacted zynga about that but haven't heard back. I thought it was just that until I tried playing some sport clips that were on yahoo and realized I can't view any clips.
Doc, I will give that a try and post back the results. Thanks.

Are you using Internet Explorer 9 or another browser to view those websites and videos?

System restore fixed the problem. For the record Evan, I usually use Firefox but the same thing was happening in IE and Chrome. Not sure why this happened (unability to play vids) because no changes were made to my laptop prior to the problem occurring.Fortunately it was an easy fix,one that I should have thought of myself but thanks again guys...you're the absolutely best for doing (and at doing) what you do!
