Has anyone gotten the Ralink RT61 (RT256x/RT266x chipset) drivers to work with windows 8 x64? Tried all I could come up with.

Their site lists a Win7:3.0.1.0 driver, you should be able to install that?

Arie, Thanks for trying to help out. I have already tried that driver and it's not compatible with win 8.

Well, what does that mean? You need to give more info... what error message do you get when you try to install it?

Since I don't have the hardware I can't check it for you...

Arie, when I try to install the driver in windows 8 developer preview the error message is: this driver is not compatible with your operating system. Then the install stops. I am running XP Professional x64 Edition SP2 and did a fresh install of win 8 on a separate partition. I am not familiar with other newer windows OS so any guidance would be greatly appreciated. My systems specs are: Gigabyte GA965P DS3 rev3.3 - BIOS updated to F14, Core 2 Duo E6600 2400 MHz, 2 GB G-skill DDR2-800 X2, ATI Radeon HD 2600, Ralink RT2561 802.11g Turbo Wireless Network Adapter PCI. Thank you, Dave

That's easy: Right-click the package EXE file, select Properties an select the Compatibility tab. Check Run this program in compatibility mode for and from the drop down select Windows 7. Click OK & install.
