whenever my pc is put to sleep or starts up it shuts itself down, but i cant press the power button to turn it on, i have to unplug my pc and plug it back in and after about 10+ attempts i can get to the Lanuch restore menu then after about another 5 attempts i cant actually use the launch restore, when it completes the "repair" process it says it cannot fix it and that the start up fail was do to
"unspecified changes to system configuration ". but after all of that it lets me restart my pc and i can use it, any idea's? (i would restart to post the info i get after the repair but i dont want to fight with my pc for it to turn on again, if needed tho i will post the information)

Failing/failed hardware? I'd try running diags on the hard drive first.

To run the diags, download and burn the Ultimate Boot CD to CD. It has all the hard drive manufacturer's diagnostic utilities, (plus much more). Simply boot your computer from this CD and select the utility you want to run.

If you aren't sure who made the hard drive in your computer, use Seagate's Seatools as it will work with most any make of drive.

You may find the following instructions helpful for burning the UBCD .iso file to disc:
How can I write (burn) ISO files to CD or DVD?
