I have an Outlook 2010 account with a password I have checked off to remember. I have the same password for email access through webmail.
I'd like to change the password for the webmail. Does my password in Outlook have to match my webmail password?

Outlook accesses the same account... So yes, it needs the proper/same information.

As soon as you change it on line, hit the send receive button in Outlook. You should get prompted for the new password.

Should I have Outlook open when I change the webmail password? Should I have Outlook set to ask for password before I do this? Right now it is set to remember password.

It doesn't matter. After the password has been changed - next time Outlook checks for mail it won't be able to...

... meaning it should then prompt you for your new password.

I went into webmail and changed my password. Then I hit the send/receive button in Outlook and it prompted me for a new password. I put the new password in.

Interestingly enough I noticed in options in Outlook that the old password was still there. I changed it and it sent a test email which came through okay.
