My adobe flash player does not work. When try to download new copy , I get message that d3d9.dll is missing. I have tried to reinstall directx but that did not fix the problem. I tried malwarebytes antimalware at one time and that did not work. Appreciate any help you can give me....I apologize if I am in the wrong section of this website. I do have windows 7.

What didn't work? Fixing a problem with MBAM or MBAM itself didn't work?

I read on a site where MBAM could fix the problem of the missing driver....I am a rookie at this so please look over the stupid mistakes I make. I do not know where to even start to correct the problem so I am grasping at straws. The DXDIAG is what ? How do I try to find out if it has any problems?

MBAM works as it is supposed to ...apparantly fixing driver issues is not one of its virtues.

Hi stinkingdog101. To access the DirectX Diagnostic Tool click Start< Run and type dxdiag and hit enter. When it opens look through each of the tabs and and under the Notes section, see if it finds any problems.

Then download and install this version of DirectX and see if it solves your problem, DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010).

Download and extract the contents of the DirectX installer to a new folder. Then browse into the folder where the extracted files are and run SETUP.exe. Follow the steps in the wizard to install DirectX. After its installed, reboot the computer and then install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player from here.

I could not get the dxdiag to run because of missing d3d9.dll file. I ran the download from directx as per instructed and now I get a different message. Now the DdEntry 10 could not be located in dynamic link library DDRAW.dll . I ran the direct download again with same results. When I tried to run dxdiag again it says D3D10.dll is missing.

I would run the sfc /scannow command to make sure you have no other corrupted files in your Windows installation. Its possible that SFC may replace the missing DirectX files.

To run SFC click Start< All Programs< Accessories< Right click Command Prompt and click Run As Administrator. After Command Prompt opens type sfc /scannow and hit enter. When the process finishes reboot the computer and then see if you can run the dxdiag utility.

Ok, I ran the sfc/scannow command and the result was " Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them" . I then tried to run the dxdiag utility with same result as last time. Missing D3d10.dll

Do you have a Windows 7 install DVD that you can use to repair your Windows 7 installation?

Do you have a "D" partition from the Factory? If so, that is usually your install disc sitting on your PC. The last couple of new PC's that I have got and a couple of friends have, when you booted them up, there was a reminder to make recovery DVD's and go from there.

The only other thing that I can suggest would be if you can ask a friend or a relative if they have access to a Windows 7 DVD. If they do then you can borrow that disk to repair your system.
