Although I don't appreciate the companie's views the IT industry lost a good man yesterday.

    Apple 'visionary' Steve Jobs dies

Steve Jobs, co-founder and former chief executive of US technology giant Apple, has died at the age of 56.

Apple said he had been "the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives" and had made the world "immeasurably better ".

Must be of a similar age to me catsend, the Apple ][ was the first computer I personally owned with a disk drive :) And the TRS-80 (model II) was the first I used professionally.

If it isn't I'm sure SJ has things in hand, many angels have probably already got their first set of iWings.

I didn't know until yesterday that Steve was born on exactly the same day I was.... My mother didn't think it was funny when I told her she gave the wrong twin away.

I would say probably so on the age (me 63 ).
My first was a plain TRS 80 ,cassette deck not included.
I think it had like 8k for ram?
I still have packed away somewhere a TRS80 model II also a IBM portable
    plus others.
I even have some stringyfloppy drives for the TRS 80.
Sorry I tend to ramble sometimes. Another old age thingy.
