Ever since I upgraded to SM 2.3 I've had two problems with my SM Bookmarks.

    1. When I open Manage Bookmarks, there's a panel at the bottom now that I have no use for and it's in the way and taking up space. At the top edge of that panel there's a small area that would ordinarily be used to slide the boundary of the panel up or down, but it doesn't work. Is there any way to get rid of that panel?

    2. I can no longer rename any items in Bookmarks after I open it to Manage Bookmarks. There's no option to do that in the right-click menu. Is there a work-around that would let me rename items in the list?

Are any of you seeing the same things, having the same issues? I see in the SM Support Forum that several people are having a lot of problems with the new version, some of them have completely lost their Bookmarks, among other complaints. At least I still have mine.

I am using SM2.3, and I am thinking about dropping back to 2.2.
I am confirming your issue with the small area not working. As for renaming, I found out, quite by accident, that that area which you don't like makes it possible to rename the bookmarks. I had some real weirdos, and I renamed by highlighting the bookmark, and then changing the name. At this point nothing happened, until I clicking the small button, called More, and then, again Fewer. The edited name shows up.
I was using the Toy Factory theme, and, it made my mail inaccessible. I have three other Themes which are not compatible, but, at least I can get my mail.
And, I have no idea if there is a compatible Theme, or what it is.
SM2.3 is based on FF6. Presumably a theme which works with FF6, may work with SM2.3, but this is not, always the case. In other words, SM2.3 is a mess, until I can spend more time on it.

By golly, it worked! With the "old" name highlighted and that bottom panel open, I edited the name down there to my liking and then clicked on the "old" name up in the Bookmarks list. That changed the old name to the new one.

Thanks for the help. I'll mark the thread as Resolved.

    FYI,
there a v.2.3.1 which does not fix your problem. There are a lot of issues with 2.3.x, and whatever was fixed leaves a lot to be desired.
