I have IE 8 with XP and hesitate to go to IE 9. My computer is 7 years old and probobly on limited life. Is there any benefit to me by going to IE-9?

IE 9 will not work with XP. It requires either Vista or Windows 7.

Miz, they don't mention what version of Windows they are running. I like you being said that it is 7 years old, would assume it is XP. Of course they could have upgraded to Vista or Windows 7. But as they have left us with little knowledge of their PC we can only guess.

Randon, please go to User CP near the top left of this page and fill out your System Specs. Makes it a lot easier to help somebody when we know what they have.

MrBill, read the original post again. The first line says, "I have IE 8 with XP and hesitate to go to IE 9. "

Miz, I know what it says. I am trying like others on here to get people to fill out their specs.

    Oh, sorry for the confusion.

When you said "Miz, they don't mention what version of Windows they are running" I thought you meant they didn't mention what version of Windows they are running.

I have one computer with XP and another with Windows 7. The one with XP is probobly on its way out but I didn't want to use IE9 if it caused a problem. I didn't know it was only for Win 7. Thank you.
