Webcam Driver

    I must say thank you to all the members of this great forum. The corporation is so wonderful. Please i need a webcam driver for Compaq Mini CQ 10. I run windows 7 operating system. The device manager shows a yellow sign which means the hardware is there but the driver is not available. Please any information where i can download this driver. Thanks.

    Did you tell it to update the driver and let it go online to do it?

    Please post the exact model no , e.g. CQ10-120CA - there are dozens of CQ10 models.

    Did the netbook come with Windows 7 already installed?

    Does Device Manager give the make/model no. of the web cam? - please post this too.

    The exact model is HP COMPAQ MINI CQ10-101SA and it did not come with windows7 already installed. Also, the device manager did not give me the model number but merely wrote LEXMARK X422. Thanks.

    I think you may be out of luck - I can find no web cam drivers for Windows 7 - Compaq do not supply them. For XP which is the OS that was suplied with the netbok, yes. You could try that driver - it may or may not work ......

    Please look again in Device Manager - Lexmark X422 is a printer, not a web cam.
