    Hello - All,
I have two machines - one monitor - one keyboard.
Object: Trying to use Kavoom software switch - unsuccessfully !!

Both Dell - xp home and win7-64 home premium.
I've read all the forums I can find on this product, most have success and love it..The techs. at kavoom say most problems are related to windows firewall..
I've addressed that - turning off everything in XP and allowing access via the win7 firewall AND my ATT 2wire-HG-B router...
Still can't connect to my xp box...Response: can't connect to port 5222 on xp,or pathway not found? I've opened port 5222 in xp
Has anyone had experience with this product - kavoom.biz?

I don't want to go the hardware KVM route, don't have room.
    Thanks for help/suggestions.

This doesn't seem to make much sense. KVM switches today are little more than a 1/2 "x3 "x3' box with sets of cables. You don't need much room at all to utilize it. (PS2 or USB)

Gentlemen: YES...I did read the manual .. Both my computers pass the telnet test as described??
Still can't connect to my xp box..xp says it's OK whether the firewall is on or off....Kavoom says that too....the software is designed to pass through the windows firewalls and it's listed as such in both machines.

Must be some "quirk" I'm not finding or a bug kavoom hasn't addressed yet.
Same results if xp is/not connected to my monitor...
