Resolved Reinstall w7 on a replacement drive.

    Will I be able to reinstall w7 on a new drive that I bought to replace the one in my computer?

    Should be no problems as long as you have recovery/install DVD's

    Yep, 100% best to make sure before you get rid of the old drive (or is that already dead?)

    Don't think the recovery disk would be useful on a new HD, but do have the Install disk, so should not be a problem. Might have to call MS to verify that it is the same computer though.

    Not if you're only changing the drive.
