    Try this....
Go back to Device manager, right click the appropriate display adapter and click update driver.
Don't search updates, simply direct it to WinXP_2K folder INSIDE the previously extracted Folder.

Simply because those are only video drivers listed there.

I went to device manager, right clicked on sis 661 series, left clicked on update driver, clicked on "install from a list of specific locations ", then chose "search for the best driver in these locations ", check marked, "include this location in the search ", and I pointed to the folder that was unzipped that I put on the desktop. Even directing it to windows 2k, it doesn't find the IntFunc file, but when I go into the folder, I can clearly see it is there. I do not know what to do.

I should point out, that in the following screen shot, the process starts to get underway, but since I am not sure about the process the wizard would take, I am wary and do not proceed. Should I proceed with the process of instalation that the screen shot indicates?

I get that option when I choose "Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install" option and then click next.

What should I do? Should I go along with it?

Point the installer to sisgr.inf file in WinXP_2K folder.

    # Click "Have Disk ".

Ok, now that I did that, I got two options now, the 661 series, or the mirage series. Should I go with the 661 series?

I'm guessing I should choose the 661 series, but I do not want to mess up with this, so I am asking whether I should proceed or not.

I'm sorry but I have bad news. the pc still froze. I then did a manual restart and logged in. Everything seemed fine, but then I saw that the desktop setting was changed. This was obvious becase the start button on the task bar was off the screen. I right clicked on the desktop, left clicked on properties, then went to settings. The settings were at 1280 by 800. I found this strange as it was not the set up it was before. I set it back to 1024 by 768 setting. I do not know why the freeze occured, and I certainly do not know where the auto change to the screen format came from. I'm sorry to take up your time. Please go handle your life duties. When all is said and done, and if you feel like continuing to help me out, I look forward to receiving your help. But first, I must insist that you go pick up your son. Please take care until next time.

That's pretty much all, I could do....
In this forum, we make sure, your computer is free of malware and your computer is clean :)
Because the access to malware forum is very limited, your best option is to create new topic about your current issue, at Windows section.
    You'll get more attention.

Ok, thank you very much. As far as one of the three pc's in my household is concerned, my grand parents pc is clean as far as malware is concerned. I have two separete areas of issue with the pc in my room. For one, my avast found a trojan. I deleted it quickly. I would like to know if I could get help with making sure with my room pc is clean. If so, do I start a new thread concerning my room pc, or continue with this thread dealing with my room pc? The other problem with my room pc, is that when I try to connect to the wireless signal for my household, my room pc freezes. At no other time does my room pc freezes. Both of these issues with my room pc started the day after the problems with my grand parents. Should I make a thread continuing the topic of my grand parents pc freezes when task manager is opened, open a new thread concerning the wireless signal freezes on my pc, or the possible maleware on my pc? Or should I start a thread of each topic separetely?

That's it. For that reason, I'll mark this thread as resolved.
We went way out of a scope of malware forum to try to fix the other issue.
You're more than welcome to pursue the issue at Windows forum.

    Please, start a new topic.

    Good luck :)

Ok, thank you. If anyone who has been following this issue would like to continue viewing the still present issue of freezes on my grand parents pc, please follow the hyperlink below.

    http://www.windowsbbs.com/windows-x...s-when-task-manager-opened-up.html#post548081

I am adding this hyperlink for anyone that has read this thread, and would like to know what to do if they get Systems Tools 2011, and their pc starts to freeze when they try to fix the problem of Systems Tools 2011 that has infected their system.

I do not know how to close this thread after this post. I just wanted to include a link to the last issue with my grand parents pc. Though, I do not know what else to do with this thread. I know it is done, as far as its purpose, but I do not know how to "close close" it.
