Took me all of 15 seconds to locate

Select Download, select your OS & you'll find a SATA driver from 2010/03/25

Not sure that a SATA driver will do much for a PCI card, or will it:confused:.

I checked out the compatability of the MOBO as there appears to compatability issues with the revodrive. From the link below your MOBO is in the list with Bios version 0402.

From the link Arie gave you will find the bios version 0402. Follow Arie's directions and click on Bios (2) [Bios History]. This is not the most recent version but it was released 27th August 2010, if you have a version before that date this may just fix it for you.

The most recent version 0505 has not yet been added to the comaptability list so I would go with the version that has been given the thumbs up.

What Bios version do you have.

Probably took me more than 15 seconds :), but I looked there already, and those are the Marvell drivers I already have installed, not the Silicon Image ones you wanted me to look for. Your posts indicate frustration with me, but I assure you that I am trying to follow your suggestions the best I can.

I have 0402. If problems persist, might it be worth it to attempt upgrading the BIOS and hope that solves it?

I checked with my vendor, and it's too late for them to replace the drive. I'll contact OCZ and see what they say.

As the 0402 Bios version has been proved to be compatable with the SSD this proves, almost without doubt, that the drive is defective. There does not not seem to be any other logical reason why the drive should not work 100% with your existing set up.

Obviously there is no harm in trying the most recent Bios version, you never know your luck.

 Did you only get a 12 monthy warranty? that's a suprise for a device that should outlive most of us.

If you are stuck with it then I have another suggestion. Do you still have a working HDD. If so I would install it in the PC and clone the SSD to the HDD. Don't do a clean install as that will defeat the object which is to run all the same drivers, software etc using a known good drive. If the BSOD's continue you can be fairly sure that the SSD is OK and that it is some software or driver issue. On the other hand, if the BSOD's stop you can be quite certain that the SSD is to blame.

Good idea. I'll clone the drive to an HDD and run like that for awhile.

I think the drive itself has a 3-year warranty, so OCZ should hopefully replace it. I only meant that it's too late to do an easy exchange with the vendor from whom I purchased the drive. They only swap after 30 days, then responsibility is passed on to the manufacturer. Hopefully OCZ won't make me jump through too many hoops to get a replacement. :)

Thanks again for all the help!

OK, maybe OCZ will be able to suggest what the problem might be but I think we have covered all the possibilities.

It will be interesting to see how things go using the HDD.
