I spoke too soon. the BSOD is back @ 16.13.

Well, at least Broni has declared my PC clean so its not an infection/malware etc and its NOT overclocking the RAM.

Going back to the start of this thread and will re-post the BSOD view shortly.

    KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.
    Arguments:
Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: 8054bfd2, The address that the exception occurred at
    Arg3: a81f5b5c, Trap Frame

Format & reinstall would be my only suggestion!

Really? I am not trying to question your advice (and I have done the format & reinstall job more than a few times), but would you mind a bit further explanation or your suggestion please?

Many out-dated drivers on a "new" system.

You could also try to update all your drivers & test your memory.

Ok thanks for this. I am in the process of updating my drivers. Then I'll do the memory test. Might not be this side of Xmas though, just got a bit too much to do.

Will update as soon as I get any results.

    Merry Christmas One and All
