Resolved Greeting card factoy Delxe 8.0

Hi there guys, I've just been given a CD of the greeting card factory delux 8.0.
Everything goes great dowmloading the CD, but when it comes to set-up, a box appears in the middle of the screen saying, The windows installer service isunavailable, another application may be running. Finish any installations in progress, or restart your computer and then re-run set-up.
so I click the set-up, nothing happens, if I click ok in the box, or click the cross to take off, I lose the set-up. Everything seems to have downloaded OK, but cant raise it from anywhere, what might be wrong, and can I sort it myself. Sometimes a box appears saying repair or remove, when I click repair, the box freezes, and instead of a curior, all I get is a round ring that continuly keeps turning, until I turn it off.
Please help, as this is driving me nuts, thanks in antisipation. Rabbi.

P,S. I have windows XP.

to my new friend Markmadras, thanks for all your help with the factory thing, It took me till now to fix, tried all the ways, but only the last one did the trick
it was the m/soft solution no 2, none of the rest would work. anyway many many thanks for all your help, hope I can return the favour someday, cheers mate, regards Rabbi.

you wont believe this, after the download was complete, for the card factory, i went to another site, f/book,I then got a message that everything downloaded until the last wee bit. It still works, not great, but i'm getting a little. Not sure what is wrong, but i'll just keep the parts that i have, thanks again for your great help.
