After much research online I haven't been able to find anything on this particular subject. Here is the problem (with this preamble: Hard Drive is clean, defragmented; there's been a complete check and recheck for malware, virus, and the likes; memory is fine and ample; CPU is always working at less than 50%; basically, everything seems to be in order):

A couple of weeks ago my main (and only one at the time) administrator account started having some problems loading up some programs, at times windows explorer would crash before anything would happen, but sometimes the program would open about 10 or 12 minutes later. Not all the programs though, for example, the FireFox and IE Browsers would take 10 mins each to load, yet Apple Safari would load instantly.

Recently I created a new administrator account, and Everything seems to be working fine; but when I switch back to the old account the problem persists.

I have migrated most of my stuff to the new account, but I would like to hear some thoughts on this issue, in case it comes up again in the future and harasses me once again.

    Thx in advance.

PS: I've always thought that listing once system config is a bit snooty and narcissistic, so let's just say I spent a couple of extra bucks and got a very good gaming laptop.

Most probably a corrupt Administrator profile. You can't do much about it. As you have already created a new Administrator account, delete the problematic one.

What type of stuff in Administrator are we talking about ? Is that your primary login ? If it is, is a very BAD & UNSAFE practice.

    Thx for the Reply

By Stuff I meant pictures, music and other inert stuff. So, no fix for a corrupt profile then?

Create a new Limited User account for everyday use & use Administrator account only for system related activities like installing, updating etc. Infact in Vista & Win 7 there is no need to login to Administrator account for these activities too, Windows would prompt you for Account name & password when it needs to update/install anything.

    No. Just delete it.
