new hdd installed, create partition, and logical partition, and set active?

hi guys, how to install new hdd (2TB) size.

first, computer hardware connect cable, was done.

but goto windows xp pro sp3, no found device? is need goto new hardware install...?

I check BIOS can auto detect HDD.

I remember in DOS 6.XX , need goto FDISK, create partition, and logical partition, and set active

how to in windows xp sp3 to set this ?

i known 32bit system =ram max only 3.2GB , how about HDD, limited ? TB?

You don't need to use fdisk, format in Windows now. Disk Management would do the job. Right click "My Computer "->Manage->Disk Management. Choose your new hard disk & create partitions etc.

Looks like you are installing Windows fresh onto this hard disk.

Yes, more or less but it does not involves so many steps.
