Transfer windows 'Publisher' file to memory stick on laptop, check memory stick, file is now gobble-d-gook, tried opening in 'Word' no luck, other options thst do not work are Abode Reader 9.3/Notepad/.
Cannot find 'publisher' to open in. Ok to read on laptop in 'Publisher', where it originated.
Where do we go from here please?

YOur post doesn't make much sense;)

Did you then take the stick to another computer that doesn't have Publisher installed?

And the 2nd question revolves around the word "Transfer ".....

Transfer? How? Copy & Paste? Drag & Drop? A 3rd party program?

Compiled article on Laptop with 'Publisher' downloaded (transferred) file to memory stick, checked memory stick on same laptop, result gobble-d-gook. Memory stick not used on any other PC. This is only related to this pc, 'publisher' and this memory stick.

Try opening the .PUB file in Publisher and SaveAs to thumb drive.
