Resolved starnge music and siren sound with firefox

Today I have noticed that when I open firefox I get a strange electronic music and siren sound and I can't figure out where it's coming from. there aren't any pop up ad appearing which might give rise to it.
Any ideas.

PS It doesn't happen with IE8 or Opera.

 

I'm having the same thing today with SeaMonkey, another Mozilla browser. No idea why or what to do about it other than to get away from the starting page (google.com on mine).

I just got hit with this same phenomenon. I only went to jkontherun.com to look at an adroid froyo video. Did you happen to go there?

It's Pac-Man's 30th Birthday today, and Google's homepage is a playable Pac-Man game around the Google logo. My boyfriend had the same problem, then I went to Google and was like Hey, it's Pac-Man! And then the siren started. He plays fine on my laptop, but for some reason the music is stuck on his computer.

All you have to do is disable the "Cool Previews" add on for firefox. Go to the "Tools" link at the top of the browser, go down to "Add Ons ", go to the "Cool Previews ", click "Disable ". Then restart firefox and it should be fine!
