Resolved Gps software

Does anyone know if software is available for use on a LAPTOP with a Bluetooth GPS receiver which will show on a map where you are? I am particularly looking for software with maps of England and or Australia.

 

iPad running Google Map.

 

I don't have an Ipad - looking for software to run on a PC Netbook (or any PC laptop)

I have found a few web sites including Microsoft (for AutoRoute).
Now I find that my NetBook doesn't have a high enough screen resolution to run this software (needs 1024 X 768 minimum and Netbook is only 1300 X 600).
I have a Garmin device but wanted to be able to run similar software on a large screen PC - wo is me!

 

I know you can hook up your GPS to your laptop, and found a few sites that were close. If you goggle it you may find something that will be helpful. I'm pasting down a link to give you an example of the kind of things you can find.
