In TB 2, since couple of days all my incoming e_mail goes to trash file automatically ????
I upgraded this morning to TB3, same situation
    Went into Tools/Option and verified
Went into Account parameters and verified that option is checked on OK for addresses in contacts

    Can you help
    OS=XP3
    Firefox 3.6.3

There may be more, but my account setting|junk setting is set to send mail to Trash (intentionally). There must be some file which is acting up.
If you updated to TB3, without creating a new profile, the problem would carry over.
I am on my way out, so if you do not find anything, and tried to create a new profile, to no avail, If will try some more ideas.

Just to get a better back ground ..
Are you using email server provided by your ISP??
If yes, if using SMTP, have you checked your filters in Thunderbird.
If yes, but using IMAP, check settings (filters) at source email site AND filters in Thunderbird.
Above suggestions are a long shot, but if corruption occurred, possible a rouge filter was created/activated.

I am using 4 e_mail adresses on TB3 now, 1 IMAP that work OK, 3 on my ISP: 2 that works OK and mine has the situation, I did verify all checks to be the same but to no success.

    Any more idea, welcome

Just found the culprit im one of my "message filter" that would stay active even when unchecked.
Had to unchecked every spot (mesSage filter) on each e_mail profile, close FFox and TB3, completely stop PC and restart...now OK

Found culprit going throught : Explorer, application file data, profile folder, mail, incoming server ID, filterlog.html

    Thanks

    Good work JCL. :)
When I suggested checking filters, my suspicions were a filter becoming mysteriously "ticked and active ". Hopefully filters becoming active and NOT ticked is not a reoccurring code problem in Thunderbird. If you have the problem resolved, I would suggest deleting the culprit filter(s) from any email account containing the filter.
