All Control Panel Items > Mail

Always backup your messages, settings and contacts prior to removing profiles and stores.

Do you have a 64 bit operating system? If so, Outlook is a 32 bit application, thus you must use the Control Panel icon Vista 32 bit Control Panel in Classic View.

Got the vista to do it but 7 stumped me

I can not find the mail icon or name so I can get in and delete the outlook profile. Can you give me a step by step to get to it from a normal (as installed) desktop screen?
    Thanks

In Windows 7: Control Panel, select View by: Large icons, then find Mail (32-bit)

Should be the same in Vista.

You are mixing Vista and Win7 here, so 1st let us know which OS you are having problems with.

On Windows 7 you change the Control Panel view as I suggested above. In Vista there's a Classic View link on the left hand side of the Control Panel window.

You are correct I was mixing th two as I was using my home computer to try to figure it out and did not have anything 7 except a 7 starter on my wifes netbook to experiment with as I said the netbook does not show or recognize a search for mail so I presume there is that difference between at starter 7 and the regular 7? Sure wish they would be consistent between the windows versions. So in a normal seven just go to users go to large or smal icons and I will see the mail symbol. Is that correct?
    Thanks

There will be changes between one version & the next. In this case they are minor.

Yes is the answer to your Q.
