I voted Win 7, I use the 64-bit version, very few problems, much better than Vista. I do have another Desktop using XP 64-bit with all updates, used mainly for software backups, too slow for full use. My stubborn wife refuses to upgrade from ME, which makes for a lot of aggro, as I am the maintenance persona...

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and am very satisfied with it; I have the same OS on another machine.

On my MacBook Pro 17" laptop the Windows 7 32bit OS is far superior to Snow Leopard as are the majority of other Windows programmes.

Running Win7/64. Installed the first public Beta and never looked back. Hated Vista, even after I tweaked it as far as it could go.

I'm running a dual boot of Vista 64 Ultimate and Windows 7 64 Ultimate and
on a separate hdd I have XP Pro 32 bit but I voted Vista.

I'd have to say that it is about 50/50 on usage between Vista and Windows 7
and the occasional use of XP when I want to use a game or app that doesn't
work on Vista or Windows 7.

I have Windows 7 64 bit on my laptop. I found out my desk machine can run 64 bit so when I get the ambition I'll do a clean Windows 7 install there as well.

I LOVE this poll.....think I suggested it a while back; think it gives us important perspective.

I adore XP---Pro on both desktops, Home on my laptop, all 32-bit...and plan to hold onto it and its infinite hotfixes as long as MS supports it.

I am Using Windows XP Pro. I have used it since it came out. I also have a laptop that uses Vista, I dislike Vista. When the support stops for XP Pro I will then switch to Windows 7 on both the desktop and the laptop.

Still XP. Can't see any advantage in Win7. Come to think of it, that'd make an interesting subject for a poll; "Why do you prefer Win7 to XP? "

    Running Which OS?

Have three systems. Main system is running with Win 7 Home Premium x64. Wife's system (HP laptop) running Vista w/SP2. Older desktop system running with XP w/SP3.
Win 7 has a bit to go but is mostly satisfactory "out of the box ".

I upgraded to win7 home premium 32-bit from vista home premium. I like win7 alot, but I bricked my computer (toshiba satelite a215 s4747) while doing a BIOS upgrade. I'm looking for a method or some help to fix my computer! Any suggestions would be appreciated. I was also using Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope as a second os. I liked it also. It really booted quick and shut down quick, but I had trouble using any windows software even with "WINE ".

    Thanks,

    Hi,
    Arie wrote:
So how about having tick boxes instead of "radio buttons" -It will allow people to vote for the OSs they use.
Results from this poll will be highly skewed.

Out of my 5 machines , 3 are XP Pro and 2 are Win7
So ,since the "majority" is XP , I voted XP ,but I'm not happy with this kind of poll, sorry.

    Pete.
