Uninstall HJT. Download fresh copy, install and try again.

Same problem. Although this one windows help option popped up, suggesting solutions for my computer, and there were a lot of problems, but for the installers, I think it said PSI Key not working. Doesn't make sense to me, can that be the problem?

    "Solve a problem with PSIKey

    PSIKey has stopped working properly.

An update is available that solves this problem.

Click to download the update from the Protexis Inc. website "

And also, it's saying Internet Explorer has stopped working properly because of the add-ons.

This windows help popped up on its own, and I haven't done anything except just read what it thinks the problems are. What should I do now?

I've fixed the PSIKey issue, but HJT still doesn't run. The process is running though, but the program doesn't open.

While renaming, my computer freezes. So I eventually have to end the explorer process and restart it from task manager. When I restart, HJT's name is changed to scanner, and it still won't open. In the processes tab in task manager, it shows scanner.exe running but it won't open.

    Download OTL to your Desktop.

    * Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
    * Under the Custom Scan box paste this in:

    netsvcs
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
    /md5start
    eventlog.dll
    scecli.dll
    netlogon.dll
    cngaudit.dll
    sceclt.dll
    ntelogon.dll
    logevent.dll
    iaStor.sys
    nvstor.sys
    atapi.sys
    IdeChnDr.sys
    viasraid.sys
    AGP440.sys
    vaxscsi.sys
    nvatabus.sys
    viamraid.sys
    nvata.sys
    nvgts.sys
    iastorv.sys
    ViPrt.sys
    eNetHook.dll
    ahcix86.sys
    KR10N.sys
    nvstor32.sys
    /md5stop
    %systemroot%\*. /mp /s
    %systemroot%\system32\*.dll /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\Tasks\*.job /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\system32\drivers\*.sys /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\System32\config\*.sav
    CREATERESTOREPOINT

    * Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
    • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows: OTL.txt and Extras.txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
    • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post them back here.

    Hey Broni..

Thanks for all the help man.. :) My laptop was giving me a lot of trouble, so I figured might as well restore it to factory settings, after a backup, which I did, and now it's working perfectly. Sorry for all the inconvenience.. :)

I'm looking for a free anti-spyware/malware.. What do you suggest I should use?

    THanks once again..
