Windows Vista Vista Shut Down Problems

Hello

I have troubles shutting down my computer. When I go to “shut down”, on the screen the moving circle next to the “shutting down” continues, however the computer doesn’t shut down. My computer is a HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop and it uses Microsoft Windows Vista.

Your help is appreciated.

It has been happening for a while now (at least a year) and I can not remember if I had made any changes to my laptop prior to this problem occurring.

Therefore you have not shutdown properly in the last year

I would suggest to run a CheckDisk on your computer system

(Note: I just Googled for a simple CheckDisk guide, and that looked good at the time )
