Oh, it doesn't for me too now :( But when I first posted it, the link worked - it must be under time delay or something)

Anyway, when I went to the technet site (link above) I selected download at the bottom of the page.
I then stated that I'm a tech manager or something (otherwise I don't think it works)
Plus I answered all the other questions properly
Then I selected continue (or something, as I can't remember now)
    And it started downloading :)

I suspect that the original member satimis, did not answer the personal questions correctly. As MS will not let just anyone download the ISO (I remember I had the same issue myself when Win7 was first released, until I worked out that you need to answer the questions correctly)

Just be absolutely certain, you are using this link (I hope) http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/cc442495.aspx

Then at the bottom of the page select 64bit version (that you want)
Then sign into TechNet and answer all the questions they want (ie you want to test it and you're some tech specialist etc etc)
Then if you receive the standard security bar (that magically appears under the address bar, you obviously click on it and allow Technet (I made it always allow)

This all assuming you have the latest Java installed
    It should work

    Hi kimsland,

I'm now running IE on Vista to download Windows 7. I follow you advice coming to the page "Pleased wait while the Download Manager begins your download. Then it asks to download and install "Download Manager ". The size of the file is 2.91G. It is now downloading. The PC is connected to 1.5M broadband.

    I'll come back after finish.

    Resolved

    Hi kimsland and folks,

Finally I have 64bits Windows 7, 90 days trial version, download. It took > 7 hours to complete disregarding my PC is connected to 1.5M broadband. I thinks the server doesn't provide sufficient band width. Now I have the iso image burned on DVD. Simultaneously I have it installed as guest on a virtual machine running KVM as virtualizer and 64 bits Fedora 12 as host. After configuration Windows 7 is now connected to static IP. On this virtual machine there are 10 VMs running, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista (32bit), Windows 7, 3xUbuntu 9.10, 2xDebian 5.03, 2xFedora 12.

Now I'm trying to sort out the problem on audio driver and usb mass storage driver. Driver is always the problem to Windows. All VMs can now share DVD Writer and Scanner of the PC. All VMs can share the USB mass storage device except Windows. Cloning VM locally and across PCs works including Windows.

Anyway lot of thanks for your assistance.
