A few weeks when on vacation. I'm not addicted to the computer, thank goodness. There's a real life out there that I enjoy besides sitting in front of my monitor. I suppose we're all different.

One whole week with no computer. Were you in jail? Just joking! To me, that's what it would be like, and that's why I keep three around.

Yes, only three. It would've been four, but one deceased on me this year.

BobbyScot, you need to create an emergency repair disc at the very least so that you can boot into your system. Then, if needed, you can restore as far back as the factory image. You can create this disc in the Backup and Restore center. Like Athlonite stated, if you can't afford it, then it's time you started learning. It's not as hard as you may think.

    I went 5 months in 2005 without a computer.
If memory serves correctly, it was July 15th to December 16th.
Basic Training and AIT... the army does not feel that computer access is necessary during combat training. I for one, think it would help, but no one asked me.

I voted a few month, but the truth is more like 3yrs after I returned from living is Germany. The low and behold I told a friend about some of systems I built, next day he brought by a box with a bunch of computer part that were in his basement when He bought his house. And it started all over again, that was 4 yrs ago and Im on my 6th or 7th build, I now on a computer every day, either at work or at home
