I had Windows Vista on this computer for quite some time but it kept randomly crashing and bluescreening so I decided to try Windows 7 but I just did not like it so I came back to Vista. This is the third time I have reinstalled it because I keep getting a message PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA STOP:0x00000050. The only things I have installed this time are Graphics card drivers and firefox. in safe mode it works. and... if i boot into ubuntu that works fine for days with no crashes, but I really got this computer for games.

    Why is it doing this?

    Most likely hardware related.

    Download BlueScreenView.

No installation required, just run the BlueScreenView.exe file.

When scanning is done, click Edit > Select All from the menu.

Next select File > Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into a reply in this thread.

Thanks for the link pccarehimanshu but I don't have SP1.

I downloaded BlueScreenView and waited and waited for it to crash but it never happened... until now... like 2 days after. I don't understand, it was doing it every 5 minutes. Anyway... It just done it now again and heres what BlueScreenView has to say about it...

I saved the file as BSOD.txt and closed BlueScreenView. I opened BSOD.txt but its just an empty file? I opened BlueScreenView again to try and save it but now its just empty and shows nothing...

I really don't understand whats happening...

Before i saved it the only thing i can remember seeing in BlueScreenView was something about ndis wrapper... can this solve my problem?

    Thanks again for any help...

Are you running the latest Service Pack?

Check the System and Application logs in Event Viewer for other recent errors that might give further clues.

To open Event Viewer, go to Start and type eventvwr.msc in the Start Search box & hit Enter.

Check your Application and System logs under Windows Logs for errors.

You can double click on any error for more details, and there is also a button to copy the error to your clipboard for easy copying & pasting.

Run hardware diagnostics supplied by the manufacturer.

Make sure all drivers and system BIOS are up-to-date.

The event viewer didnt seem to work...

What I did was I went to my motherboard manufactuers website instead and downloaded all the drivers from there. Now it seems to be wokring perfect. I think it had something to do with the LAN driver Vista installed by default. Just weird it never used to do that before.

    Thanks again!
