When i reboot my pc a lot of the services are stopped and I'm unable to start them. Rebooted in safe mode, same problem. My network card not loaded, administrator account has no permissions, unable to view accounts to change account type and no anti virus/spy ware loading.

Hi ac8663, Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

Try this, click Start< Run and type sfc /scannow and press enter. Have your Windows XP CD handy in case SFC needs a file. Let me know if SFC finds any corrupt files.

It did not ask for anything other than going idle. It did not give a report as such. Do you think the registry may be corrupted.

Your registry could be corrupted but its hard to tell. Was there any change with the system services not starting up after running SFC? Do you have a Widows XP CD that you can boot from?
