Hi, this is my first post,

I read the rules and I have searched but did not find any answer to my problem and I'd be glad if I could get some help here.

My problem is that my little brother accidentally closed the language bar and I have read some posts here on how to restore them but when I follow these steps I have a bunch of problems, let me first explain what the guides say:

Start > Control Panel > Date, Time, Language and Regional Options > Region and Language Options > Languages > Details > Advanced > unckeck "Turn off advanced text services" and press Apply.
Now go back to Settings and click Language Bar Settings at the bottom > check "Show the Language bar on Desktop ".

Its this simple yet I can't do it because the last step is grayed out... everything in that Language Bar Settings box is grayed out...

Oh and also, when i start up my computer again the "Turn off advanced text services" is checked again.

Please, if anyone can help me out here I'd be really thankful

If you could do a system restore to a date prior to the language bar closed, that would probably get it back for you.
