Hello, I have a HP Desktop Compaq 1030NX. I have DSL and was wondering about something. I was adding some ram and noticed I was using the Ethernet plug that is connected to the motherboard for my internet connection. Should I be using the video card instead? Would that give me a better picture and speed when watching video on-line? Just wondering because some videos seem to be slow and blurry. Also the wire from my router only fits in the ethernet connection. Can I get a cord that will fit the router and card even though the connectors are not the same? Thanks for any help.

The connector on your vidio card is NOT for a network cable. It is normal on most home DSL connections to occasionaly get some slow vidio. If you are paying for premium high speed service you may want to test your connection speed. Google speed test and pick one of the sites that is free.

    NO!
That's like asking if you can use a screwdriver in place of your TV's remote control, it can't be done. A video card is only for video, an ethernet port is only for ethernet.
