    Greetings!

I run multiple hard drives on my XP system and backup important data daily across drives. Yesterday while I was working the drive that I was saving my projects to (C:) fried. All of my day's work was gone. It happened before the end of the day, so I didn't have a backup.

What I would like to do is have something set up so that when I save a file to a specific location ( "c:\project\" for example) the file would also be automatically saved to "d:\project\" at the same time.

I've looked at Briefcase and other folder synch tools, but they all seem to need separate interaction.

Is there a utility I can install that will do this for me?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Aloha,

    Brian

You can set up a batch file to run upon short intervals by using Windows Task Scheduler. I have made one for my use and it runs every 20 minutes to clone some of my selected folders to another HD. Any value down to 1 minute is valid with Task Scheduler.

If you need further info, ask.

Another option is to use SynchbackSE which I use to backup my data on an hourly basis plus other scheduled backups at different time periods.

Thanks to all for the great advice!

I installed SyncBack this morning and it's been working great! I have it backing up my working directory every hour and I don't really even notice it. Thanks so much again!

    Aloha,

    Brian
