I want to create slideshows and copy them to a DVD. I have been using Photoshop Elements 4 to create the shows and Roxio Creator Basic 9 / MyDVD Basic v9 to add music and write the DVD. MyDVD creates a menu to which you can add a number of shows, then select which one to view. The problem is that when you try to watch the second or third show on the DVD, it skips to the middle of the show. You can actually jump back to the beginning using the DVD controls, but that is uncool.

I have looked at several other programs, but they all seem to create just one slideshow per DVD. Is there a program out there that can create a DVD with multiple show selected from a main menu?

Should I upgrade to the curent Roxio? Is there freeware that would work?

    DVD Slideshows.

Hope I am not infringing any of the Posting Rules as I am a virgin posterer!
I recently purchased a simple, quick and relatively inexpensive programme which would appear to serve your purpose. It is called "PixPlay ". It is a US product and has been brilliant so far. It prompts for: required data in producing a DVD which includes dozens of active patterns for translation between pictures, music, production of titles and a menu for choosing between different shows. Hope this helps. Stan.

    Sounds good

    Hi Stan -
Thank you for the suggestion. I hadn't heard of PixPlay, but it sounds like the kind of program I wanted.

Right now I have VideoStudio X2, which I (sigh) purchased. It does create menus; although that was not clear to me when I wrote my original message. The menu system is not as flexible as I would like, and selecting slides is not easy either. So if I decide to purchase other software, I will try PixPlay.

    Thanks again,
    Ken
