Resolved Outlook Express Icon missing

    Please be patient, I am absolutely new at this...problem: after installing XP Pro ..SP3 over XP Home, OUtlook Express is missing....any help would be appreciated..thanks

    Start > Programs > Outlook Express - is it there?

    Some misunderstanding here ....

    Start Button > Programs > Outlook Express. not C:\Program Files\Outlook Express which will show you 12 files.

    As I recall an icon for OE is not placed on the Desktop by default, so, in Program Files\Outlook Express fight click on msimn.exe > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut). On the Desktop rename the shortcut to Outlook Express.

    If you do find it under Start > Programs - which you should right click as above and Send to Desktop.

    thank yo0u again...managed to set up outlook and all...my first AND very bad assuption was when i re-installed windows that OE would be somewhat set up...oops...now working and sending..thanks pete
