Windows Vista Slow to access LAN

FWIW - I've interacted with Michael York on several other forums - and his advice about Norton products is usually "spot-on ". I'd suggest following his advice.

Here it is: 16.5.0.135 Norton Internet Security. Windows defender is diabled. Can't see anything else running. (that I'm aware of)

 

Update

Problem solved: I was looking through some error messages and behold:

Intel Control Center - BETA 4.1.168 application Configuration change Failure. I disabled the program and now I screaming, boots are 20 seconds connected and flying.

Thanks to all, BETA code, I had a feeling it was something, just didn't think INTEL.

 

OK, I'll mark this thread resolved.

Got to be careful if you have BETA software installer, watch it carefully.
