Internet Explorer 8 has stopped (at least intermittently) remembering my passwords & login information. Example - last night, I surfed at this site among others, before going to sleep. Normally, this morning when I woke up and turned the computer back on, after going to this site, it would show me as logged in. Now, however, it reverts back to "guest," or visitor, and I have to log in again. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Welcome to WindowsBBs :)

Is it just WindowsBBS on which this happens? You have checked the 'Remember me' box?

Your log in details are saved in a cookie - do you have software which clears cookies when IE or the computer is closed?

    Do you allow cookies?

Thanks, first of all, for the adjustment of the thread title. Secondly, it's on all web sites that have logins - and, I do check the 'remember me' box. Some websites, however, don't offer the "Do you want Windows to remember this password?" option. Also, I did some checking in the IE options, and unchecked everything in the "Delete History" sections, so we will see if that helps. I don't have any software which clears cookies, and I do allow them.

    PeteC,

Well, it must have been something in my Comodo Internet Security suite....I uninstalled that, and installed the public beta of MS Security Essentials (using Windows Firewall for firewall services) and haven't lost a login since.
