window mail not sending my email thru gmail

    The host 'smpt.gmail.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.
    Subject 'testing', Account: 'Window Mail', Server: 'smpt.gmail.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

    this message shows all the time i want to sent a message, i can recieved but not send. i am using vista window and gmail, gone thru both of them help pages without any success. tried also using microsoft express and it shows the same dont know whats wrong, two weeks of this hell is sufficient, please help! jose

    Have you tried setting up a new account (identity) in Mail?

    Have you tried smtp.gmail.com instead of 'smpt.gmail.com'
