Screensaver problem

Hi,

I just noticed (having not used it for some time) that my screen-saver won't work. I'll put my options in and select Save (tried Apply & Save too) then exit, but nothing. When I open the settings again they're gone.

Any ideas please?

Wired mouse and keyboard.

I've checked in Tweak UI, RegSeeker, CCleaner, WinPatrol and a few other progs for any extra settings I may have forgotten about, but all seems well there.

Stumped!

 

Please clarify the marked portion. What exactly happens here, can you provide a screenshot? Does it look like the settings in the Screen Saver tab are going back to Windows 2000 defaults (i.e. fresh install settings)? Or are they perhaps reverting to some kind of setup you had prior? etc.

Also what graphics card do you have and what drivers are you using, do you have a built-in motherboard graphics chip in addition to your AGP/PCI graphics card?

Do you have the most recent SP for Win2k? I believe it is 5 but i'm too lazy to check ATM

 

Check out this site for the latest relase info on the SP's for win 2000....maybe you'll be able to locate so info. on your prob too...good luck
